Children’s Hospital, Berlin, Germany
The whimsical design is the first step toward a healthier future for patients at “Evangelisches Konigin Elizabeth Krankenhaus”, the children’s psychiatric hospital in Berlin, Germany. Designed as a collaborative effort between the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Creative Agency “Dan Pearlman.”
The design center creates a fantastic story that leads patients to a trip to “Isla Elise,” a safe place to play and rest received by the Princess Elise.
“Evangelisches Konigin Elizabeth Krankenhaus” through three colorful spaces – the ‘Sandburg’ (sand castle), the ‘Palmehutte’ (the hut of palm), and ‘Klipper’ (the clipper ship). Each space is designed around the shape, color, materials, light and ventilation to help promote a positive atmosphere and meet the needs of young patients and the therapeutic staff.
The interior design of the facility is a vital part of treatment for Renters “Elise Island.” The design of these spaces play an important role in improving the health of patients. Using creativity as a social resource.
