Concept Masterplan Expo Milano 2015


The Concept Masterplan for the Expo 2015 was introduced last September 8 at the Palazzo Reale in Milan. The project, designed by the architects Stefano Boeri, Richard Burdett, Mark Rylander and Jacques Herzog will lead to the realization of the challenge accepted by Milan focused on the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” that the ‘Expo 2015 intends to propose’ attention world.

The project includes a large botanical garden as a global meeting place between agriculture and cities to feed Milan in all possible ways: spiritual, architectural, intellectual, literal. Each country may re-create the greenhouse available, its microclimate on one side and a great “dining table” on the other, all in the context of a “botanical garden planet” more than one million square meters equipped with a navigation channel .
