We present the results of 1 Architecture Competition and Social Integration, which were released last week. A contest that was not free controversialBy the terms and amounts involved, and unfortunately it looks like a usual phenomenon.

The first place went to Alvaro Arancibia and equipment and second and Gabriela Pablo Lobos Julio, declare the third. It should be mentioned that the competition involved a design proposal, a proposal for an Economic and Social Proposal, which are equal weights in the final grade, ie, was not an architectural project whose requirements are presented by the client but emerging data thrown by the proposals made by the same teams.

Proposed design requirements:

- Making integration into a homogeneous urban fabric.

- That there is a maximum of integration in getting to the urban lower-income housing within an urban equality.

- That the construction of the skyline is mixed and integrated.

- The skyline and its facade is neutral expression, does not express through this type of differentiation of resident housing.

- That there is an approval on walls, making the profiles are equivalent.

- The facade of the project profile or not mutate over time, ensuring the configuration of public space in the future and increase the surplus of affordable housing transforming these into a tradable good in the market.

- That the dwellings have a maximum of privacy, family foster individuality of each home.

- That a home of progressive growth, which takes place in a pre-configured and limited space. Delivery of total housing.

- What is the street and the landscaping of public spaces, and these places of encounter and integration.

- That the car is taken out of the landscape (public space), thus creating pedestrian and green areas, which promotes and enhances the integration and meeting places.

- What areas of permanency are into the whole to create a recreational neighborhood character and privacy.

- That the squares of the whole to be delivered to the City Bicentennial Park and join the plot of green space master plan, so that the maintenance of the squares can be financed externally.
