Marcio Kogan Again, one of our favorite architects.
A house as defined by the architect as “green, but not technology,” as no help of any technical advance to save electricity. It is simply a house built with materials and techniques of the traditional architecture of the area, which has adapted well to warm for centuries, reinventing and joining the modern Brazilian architecture.
According to the architect: “The house software uses a green, no calculations are made by sophisticated equipment. Bahia builders knew how to do cool interior houses long before the ideas lecorbusianas is tropicalized, even before Sir Norman Foster had given a scientific dimension, technological needs and sustainable architecture. The houses in Bahia have tiled roofs, rustic and banal material, and wooden ceilings. The large wooden lattice panels to make walls, of Arab origin and brought to Brazil by the Portuguese colonists, have been in our architecture since the beginning of colonization. ”
And so is built Casa Bahia, with sliding walls of wooden lattice that provide comfort inside, even when the outside temperature exceeds 40 degrees – with tile roofs and wood and with interior courtyards that allow cross ventilation of spaces main. The central courtyard also allows the entire house has views of the lush garden lush chaired by two handles.
The result, not only a traditional green, but a spectacular home of almost 700 m2, surrounded by stunning nature, and exquisite interiors.
