House-orchid (Casa Orquidea) in Argentina from Andres Remy Arquitectos. This house was designed in a difficult and built for a young couple with two children. The concept of home (like its name) follows from the client hobby – growing orchids. And the house on the designs of the customer, based on different parts of orchids – the roots, stem and flower.

The large size of the site allowed to choose the best orientation for all rooms and calculate the necessary depth to protect windows from direct sunlight in summer. Low winter sun warms the interior of the well through the large stained glass windows.

The house is designed to meet modern standards for energy saving and environmental protection.
