Kikker kleine Nursery the colorful building by Drost and van Veen architecten
This new building was designed as a play area, bright and colorful, yet without losing the link with the historic environment. Next door is a field of grazing sheep, with buildings typical of rural areas there.
The new building was conceived as a modern farm in the way of construction and materials, on the other hand, the vivid colors and contrast with aluminum strips of rustic environment. Inside his room are designed in a modern, highly functional and skies planes.
This building is home to 4 groups of children ages 0 to 4 years. To accommodate them, the distribution and shape of the space is simple and logical, including views from inside another to strengthen relationships between children and their caregivers.
The building is symmetrical and two levels high. The organization is centered around a central axis. In addition, the plant is divided into three zones: the front for people working on site, the middle is for games and the subsequent groups of children. On the back is a park for the children’s game which through the overhang on the second floor also allows for sun protection.
