Livraria da Vila library by Isay Weinfeld
We believe in a shopping precinct, the project must be developed to improve the product, which is in the shop and sales. There are undoubtedly many ways to do and is probably the nature of each approach that distinguishes each project.
We, in particular, we focus on solutions that enable customers to have a product experience as pleasant as possible.
One enters the store through a door-shelves, pivoting on the ground floor. A staircase to the right leads to a mezzanine that runs along the edge of the room that is at the lower level, and connects with walkways to the three volumes that fly over the wide central vacuum, welcoming: the auditorium for lectures and classes, the section is classical and jazz, and the space used for book launches.
Occupying an area of 2.300m2, in two levels, the store has a variety of environments, allowing customers to rest between a low sky, surrounded by bookshelves, comfortable setting and read quietly on the sofas and chairs, or walking along the wide and theater spaces.
Children can read and play in an exclusive area, which includes a small theater specially designed for storytelling sessions, while family and friends gather in the cafeteria, double-height glass wall-to talk quietly. In addition to the U-shaped staircase in the entrance, an elevator and a staircase complete additional vertical circulation.
