This year saw the opening of luxury hotels luxury around the world, here’s a selection:
Resorts World Sentosa
Singapore, January 2010. Several hotels have opened at Resorts World Sentosa: The Festive Hotel, the Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, the Hotel Tower and Michael Crockford, making a total of 1,350 rooms and 10 restaurants. This is the first “integrated resort” in Singapore, that is to say that integrates gambling to attract tourists.
Andaz Wall Street
New York (United States) in January 2010. The launch of Andaz Wall Street marked the kickoff of a busy year for the chain. This is the first establishment of a long list to open the United States. It offers a luxurious spa, a gym open 24/24, a restaurant and cocktail bar, both for business travel for tourism.
Armani Hotel
Dubai (UAE) in April 2010. Furthermore suites costing up to 11,000 dollars a night, the Armani Hotel has a restaurant, spa, and the largest LCD TV in the world. No paint on the walls of the hotel to “keep it simple and elegant”, but a green choice: Burj, the tower is 828 meters from Dubai.
The Oberoi Mumbai
Bombay (India) April 2010. The 73 suites and 214 rooms have been renovated with soils chain dark, hand-woven carpets, iPod docking stations, HD televisions, and marble bathrooms.
Trump SoHo
New York (USA) April 2010. The suites have windows from floor to ceiling, and the hotel has a pool area inside and outside, with private cabanas and a sundeck.
Marina Bay Sands
Singapore, June 2010. Three towers are home to 2,560 rooms, and the complex also has a large art collection, an auditorium with 4,000 seats, a casino, shops, restaurants and SkyPark.
Shanghai Peace Hotel
Shanghai (China) in July 2010. The 270 rooms of the Fairmont Peace Hotel retain touches of elegance 1930s, and Jazz Bar, but overall everything has been renovated. Among the additions, two Chinese restaurants, a swimming pool illuminated by natural light, spa, and a new presidential suite in what was the apartment of the founder of the exuberant hotel, Sir Victor Sassoon.
Kempinski Nile
Cairo (Egypt) in July 2010. It is the most luxurious hotel in Cairo today, opened on the banks of the Nile in July. It offers four restaurants, a spa, health club and butler service for guests who choose to remain in the 137 Guestrooms.
Waikiki Edition
Honolulu, Hawaii (U.S.) October 2010. The inauguration of the boutique hotel Marriott and Ian Schrager signed a much anticipated. The hotel offers a private beach, a nightclub, a spa and a restaurant run by renowned chef Masaharu Morimoto, Morimoto Waikiki at the ISSUE.
The Savoy
London (United Kingdom) in October 2010. The Savoy has reopened after renovation the most expensive in history for a British hotel. It now offers nine suites whose decor pays homage to the most famous guests of the hotel, several new restaurants, and environmentally innovative.
NH Palacio de Tepa
Madrid (Spain) in November 2010. The new 5 star hotel in the Spanish group NH combines the luxury and history in the Spanish capital. The hotel built on a historic site offers 85 rooms, two restaurants run by star chef Paco Roncero, spa and gym.
Shangri-La Paris
Paris (France) in December 2010. With his private suite that was once the home of Roland Bonaparte, grand nephew of Napoleon, the Shangri-La is sure to attract lovers of luxury. It offers 81 rooms decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon and three restaurants (two of which will open in 2011).
