The New Bilbao International Exhibition Centre to be located in the ancient land occupied by an industrial factory in Barakaldo, is an ambitious project to build new plants a new fair will feature the latest facilities from the architectural point of view, functional and technological .

The use of the exhibition is developed in 6 3-3 pavilions arranged along a main cover. This axis, actually becomes the backbone of the building as it houses at different levels of traffic in the fair are: cars, trucks and pedestrians. Thus, in the lower levels have 3 underground floors of parking to accommodate 4,200 vehicles. At a higher level, the trucks also pass longitudinally directly accessing the pavilions for loading and unloading. Finally, at the top level with direct access from the street, pedestrians run along a covered street with access to natural light, becoming the main space where different relationship eventually fill complementary services exhibition use.

In the genesis of the construction project has sought to exploit the potential of the building for installation of energy saving devices: The placement of solar panels on the roof of the building allows the production of electricity for own consumption. The offices are heated with radiant ceiling, confirmed alternative to the need to save energy.
