Photography Architectural design model, Filip Dujardin
I want to introduce the photographic work, closely linked to architecture and art, made by the Belgian photographer Filip DujardinCreating fictitious images of buildings that could be real, a language close to factories and industrial programs two decades ago with a Soviet air. The interesting thing about the production is also often takes similarities with the work currently carried out as architectural offices OMA or LOT – EK.
Dujardin’s work was published in the journal of architecture MARK # 16, Where contiuación will present some interesting points of the article.
Each photograph or assembly Dujardin is for a project that begins with an idea for a specific image. Each project will start by creating a model or model of what you want to achieve. In the beginning This is done with cardboard until he discovered Google SketchUp. Later Dujandin out taking pictures of buildings and fragments that serve as material to build future projects, the vast majority of buildings are the city of Ghent.
Perhaps the work or the best-known series are the images of Dujardin Impossible structures where elements from real materials and creates situations that defy impossible and totally rational principles and structural logic of the architecture and construction.
