Through a contest in 2001 was asked to design a housing complex for retired people. The competition aimed to set a high architectural standard for the area that was going through a process of urban renewal in the suburb of Rotterdam.

This group for people over 55 is inspired by the hippie generation in 1960. For this the project proposes an apartment block colorful and playful. The building has a colorful vertical articulated tower with a horizontal volume to 11 meters high from floor level which is situated on a pond. This high volume is produced to get better views of the surrounding environment, which includes a pond nearby.

Both volumes are spaces for departments with flexible spaces that allow for future changes and adaptations. The building is connected to a housing estate where pre-existing medical staff and assistance to users.

The facades of the apartments acquired through the three-dimensional wave of its balconies. The glasses have a soft color work in 200 different shades.

The space below is worked as a patio with smooth surfaces and horizontal to facilitate movement in a wheelchair or canes. Vegetation was also incorporated in different parts of the project.
