Reconstruction of urban homes in Belgium

On the House (House S) in Belgium from dmvA Architecten. The reconstruction of this classic town house demanded subtle practical solutions that organize space and create comfort and well-being.

In connection with extending the problem of illumination of the first floor, which was solved by the creation of a vertical internal volume of the illuminated through a huge stained-glass window and the attic is completely transparent glass floors.

On the external façade to provide adequate sun protection and privacy used the area’s traditional blinds in a modern interpretation.
