Sol Restaurant Plaza Mayor – Nicolás Dueñas Quezada Camila Aldunate Simunovic

With the requirement to have a stage and a double height to make projections about this, which aims to accommodate people who enjoy shows, poetry and music.

Due to ground conditions, the decision to distance itself from the surrounding sites, the allowable 1.40m. without openings. For this reason, the project is organized around a courtyard located on the west side, which allows you to leave and form a hermetic facade a place in the front yard, this operation allows separate bathrooms from the rest of the program, which allowed placing windows to ventilate and illuminate the interior. As a result it creates access to the Restaurant by a ramp and a staircase leading to the terrace. In the area of ​​the tables and stage, the perimeter walls are arranged diagonally to allow in natural light, similarly, the double height functions as a skylight. The sloping walls also play an acoustic function, allowing the sound buffer.
