The Bell House – Wood And Glass House in Ocoa , Chile
In a farm of one hectare of Ocoa (V Region, Chile) and in view of the mountains, lies the Casa Campana, a detached house of 185m2 with a great capacity for guests, who has the wood as a primary building material and has passive thermal solutions, and other activities for the future. In the design there are two important factors to consider, first the home has organized public areas (lounge, dining and cooking) separate from the bedrooms, on the other, in some rooms the roof has been altered causing the clearance vary within the 2.4 to 3.5 meters. This gesture gives the house a strong relationship with the landscape. The separation of the bedrooms and bathrooms from the rest of the house, is achieved by interposing a courtyard with a glass gallery, but this creates a central gallery-corridor proves to be too long, and there is no evidence, either in pictures or in the floor plan, that in that dark space has been placed a skylight.
