In the heart of London stands the Central Saint Giles Building of Renzo Piano. The building, a few months to be finalized, will be the first project of Italian architect built in England, combining housing, offices, and equipment. Piano’s work seeks to reactivate an important area of ​​Camden distress, which is characterized by great diversity of its urban fabric combining a medieval past, contemporary buildings and traditional blocks.

According to Maurits van der Staay Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW), Central Saint Giles rescues neighborhood diversity, injecting a ‘vibration jovial’ colors which were carefully selected for Piano. The facades are alternating between red, yellow, orange and green, breaking aside any hint of monotony, and the other, responding to what Piano calls the “beauty of surprise in the city.” Renzo Piano for a reason for the beauty of cities is their ability to surprise.
