The house is a cube in Sao Paulo

House-cube (Casa Cubo) in Brazil from AR arquitetos. This small house in the neighborhood of Sao Paulo near the residential high-rises look like a midget surrounded by Gulliver.

The task assigned customers – a family of two persons – was contradictory: on the site less than one hundred square meters (6.6 x14 m) project a spacious, open house with a garden, providing at the same time, the inviolability of private space.

The main volume contains a cube-shaped kitchen-dining room, which is given to the entire first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. Library, housed in the basement, if necessary, can serve as a guest bedroom.

On the site there was a place for parking and two semi-enclosed courtyards, connected to the general arrangement of the work on the first floor space of houses and land in general.
