Water-Cooled House in Singapore, Wallflower Architecture + Design

In the midst of a dense tropical forest, surrounded by palm trees and lush nature, this home designed by Wallflower Architecture + Design offers a natural cooling thanks to a spacious and airy, surrounded by ponds and small pools that help support the sultry weather.
Located in Bukit Timah (Singapore), the house has been designed with water as a hero, not only visually, but also as a means of cooling the various rooms. Additionally, flooding has left the indoor landscape and use the place permanent breeze, opening large windows that allow cross ventilation of the rooms. The construction of contemporary aesthetics with some nuance Asia, uses natural materials like stone and wood, and only neutral colors like white or gray on the walls of work.
Water-Cooled House is designed in many respects in a manner contrary to the orthodox way of distributing the interiors in houses in the area. In this case, the distribution of plants is inverted on the ground floor functions are residential (bedrooms, dining room and kitchen), while the first floor is installed the public area of studio living area with excellent views over the landscape . A large central staircase connecting the two floors are designed as a sinuous sculptural element in a house framed orthogonal lines.
On the cover of the first floor is equipped with a large gap that insulates heat to the bedrooms and dining room, while that surrounds and cools the rooms of the second silver. To achieve the same effect on the ground floor, small ponds are arranged in the corridor installed attached to the rooms.
