Wood Worm Holes and the Forest of phloem

Wood Worm Holes and the Forest of phloem1

Wood Worm Holes and the Forest of phloem: an unusual name for an equally unusual collection of furniture, signed by the designer duo Good Wives and WarriorsFormed by Becky Bolton and Louise Chappell stationed in London. However, the new collection was created for the brand Mexican Pirwa. The collection includes furniture and “art” and figurative, where the two designers were satisfied to create graphs of real worlds: the desks Wood Worm Holes are based on precisely the holes dug by the worms in the wood, which according to the two artists represent a hypothetical planet parallel, we consistently concealed. The Forest of phloem is a homage to the microscopic world of unwanted creatures such as parasites, fungi, bacteria, which re-interpreted by the two designers are not nearly so annoying.
